Oaths Against the Darkness: A Tactics Game

They came from the seas. Long ships, affixed with hideous totems which hurt the eyes to look at. They brought destruction, hedonism, and pain to our sacred Land. At times, ominous whispers spoken from a thousand lips herald their coming. Other times, wails of the forsaken can be heard for miles. They threaten our Kingdom, our God, and our very way of life. They must be defeated.

In this medieval turn-based RPG set in a fantasy world based on 9th century England, lead your warband of honorable warriors to victory against the Nightmare Vikings.

• Battle the Nightmare Vikings: Fight in tactical battles against Thralls, Warriors, Berserkers, and foes darker still.
• Honor is a two-edged blade: Swear oaths of honor, which confer powerful bonuses, but also challenging penalties. As your warriors gain strength, keep in mind their growing vulnerabilities!
• Manage your company: Upgrade and progress your troops with equipment, stat boosts, and perks.

Oaths Against the Darkness is designed to be a simple tactics game that doesn't take a ton of brain power to pick up and play, but can still offer satisfying tactical gameplay. 

Notes from Joe

The game met my goals of being a simple strategy game, and taught me so much during the development process. It's a simple strategy game with some charming hand made graphics. I have decided that I'm putting a wrap on it for now - maybe I'll pick it up again some day! It's been fun, but it's time for something new.
